Using the rowing machine

Today the rowing ergometer is a common piece of equipment in many type of facilities, and it forms a large part of the training programmes of many individuals from competitive rowers through to recreational gym users. Unfortunately, in many facilities there is little, if any, instruction given on how to effectively use this piece of equipment. This article provides an overview on the effective use of the rowing ergometer, and forms the basis of an effective coaching overview for anyone using this equipment.
