This study collected data at pre, mid and end of season time points using the unilateral countermovement jump (UCMJ), unilateral drop jump (UDJ), 5, 10, 30m sprint and 505 change of direction speed (CODS) tests, in 18 elite academy soccer players. Associative analysis was conducted between asymmetry for a range of different jump metrics and speed/CODS for each time point, and for changes in asymmetry and changes in speed/CODS, between time points. Differences in the magnitude and the direction of asymmetry were also determined across the season and likely provide some insight as to why certain results were found.
