The aim of this article is to synthesise the literature regarding reflective practice in sport and to provide practical recommendations on how to improve coaching effectiveness through reflective practice. Guidelines will be recommended to increase depth and quality of reflection by questioning and challenging underlying beliefs, assumptions and attitudes related to tangible behaviours.
