Accredited S&C Coaches are experienced professionals who have demonstrated their skills, knowledge and expertise through our assessment process, undertaking practical coaching and theory assessments.
Although an under-graduate or post-graduate degree in S&C or related subject is now the typical pathway to become an Accredited S&C Coach, you don't need a degree. If you can meet the requirements of our accreditation process you can become a member at this level. UKSCA Accredited S&C Coach (ASCC) is the standard applied to many jobs in S&C in the UK. This also applies abroad where UKSCA standards of practice are often required, recognised and valued.
This is our first level of accreditation and S&C Trainers typically have completed 9-12 months of formal S&C education and have applied proven techniques to planning and delivering programmes to meet individual's goals.
You may be starting your career in S&C or adding S&C to your existing role as a PE teacher, sports coach or physiotherapist. Accreditation can be awarded with qualification through a UKSCA licensed partner or with evidence that previous work has been to the standards required.
An Honorary Fellowship can be granted to anyone who the Association feels has made a significant contribution to the development of the strength and conditioning profession in the UK.
This award does not need to reflect work in the past year but is more in recognition of the recipient’s body of work and contributions over time. This prestigious honour has only been granted to six UKSCA accredited members in the last 20 years.
